Roman Roads of Britain

This project renders a map of Roman Britain check it out here Roman Roads of Britain.

The goal of the project is to create a nice looking render of Roman roads, cites, towns etc. Ideally the data used is correct and accurate but no guarantees are made.

The following data sources are used to build the map:

• OpenStreetMap (OSM) data - https://download.geofabrik.de/index.html
• Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) elevation data - https://srtm.csi.cgiar.org/
• A set Roman roads, cities, towns, etc mostly from the OS Roman Britain map - https://www.oldmapsonline.org/map/cuni/1168278

Note the OSM and SRTM are not in the repo due to size and must be downloaded and placed in their respective directories.
